Aromatic Hydro Carbons

In the carbolic acid contained in the hard coal tar, in addition to the phenolic components, there are aromatic hydrocarbons that are enriched around the C9 cut. These include for example indene, a colourless, aromatic smelling liquid that is used in the production of hydrocarbon resins. These industrial resins, also called indene-cumarone resins, are processed further to make adhesives, sealants or coating resins. Other highly aromatic oils in this business line find use as fuel additives or as raw materials for producing carbon black oil.
So that we can optimally respond to our customers and the needs of the market, RÜTGERS is subdivided into seven lines of business: Basic Aromatics, BTX/PA, Handy Chemicals, Resins & Modifiers, Aromatic Chemicals, Trading and InfraTec.
