We take for granted our responsibility to people and the environment. That’s why we see it as our duty not only towards natural resources such as water, air and plant life but also towards our employees. We have environmentally friendly production in closed systems, utilise our raw materials completely to produce valuable materials for industry and inspect our plants on a regular basis to avoid energy leakage and to provide our employees the best possible industrial safety and protection. At our site in Castrop-Rauxel we even operate a biological wastewater purification plant to maintain water purity.
Highest energy efficiency
For us sustainability also means continually looking for ways to optimise for the purposes of environmental protection. Accordingly, we decided in 2004 to commission our own energy centre with a gas and steam turbine plant at our works in Castrop-Rauxel so that the site’s CO2 emissions could be reduced by one third. Wherever we see a potential way of saving the environment we implement it.
